Emotional Embrace was started following our own grief journey.
Our Journey started in 2017 when we had a last first trimester miscarriage. It was our first pregnancy and it left us devastated. It took our innocence of early pregnancy away.
3 months after we had a miscarriage, we found out we were pregnant again. This time, we made it to full term. Two day before our baby’s due date, we found out his heart had stopped beating. The following day, we gave birth to a beautiful boy who was sleeping.
Following this, we did successfully have 2 more beautiful boys. We thought our heartache was behind us.
Then in 2024, when our youngest son was only 1.5 years old, my life partner and my children’s father suddenly passed away from a medical event. It has been the hardest journey we have walked yet.
We know what grief does to your life and we understand how difficult those early days.
During the 3 times we were unexpectedly thrown into grief, we never received information or support about how or where to access support. We had little knowledge about what would be beneficial during the process of grief.
Most of the gifts we received during our journey included flowers. While these are lovely and still hold a place in grieving, we wanted to do something more. We wanted to make it our mission to help families and friends support loved ones going through grief by helping them to obtain knowledge and products that will actually be beneficial.
